I just received an ota software update not sure what it fixes. Has anyone else received this?

I recieved one for the Sprint version. I did not update because I do not want to loose root. I was hoping someone has a solution to stop the OTA update

Sprint community had this info on the update:

Enhancements/Fixes
- Intermittent freezing/locking up
- Intermittent device reset during YouTube playback
- Device recovery/power up after unsuccessful Wi-Fi connection
- Changed Mobile ID icon to display as Sprint ID icon
- Removed invalid info in Reply All email responses

Important Notes
- Software version is LS970ZV8
- This software update will automatically install when the device is activated
