I did some poking around yesterday and didn't see anything more recent than the reports that the devices in Korea were being upgraded to 4.1.2... So, it sounds like we'll get 4.1 and not 4.2, but I find myself wondering as well when Sprint will release an upgrade.

Just so you guys know, houstonn over on XDA has been making awesome progress on porting the Korean 4.1.2 to the US networks. Sprint version is in alpha testing right now; calls/texting/data are a little wonky

I just got my LG Optimus G from sprint and it came with Android version 4.0.4 but I don't like it I cant find way to root it. I tried different ways to do it but none work for this version.
