Any pictures in my Picasa account that are ThundeROM related has been completely removed. I know this isn't a "glitch" as some were in different folders, different upload times/dates. All are gone. Even 2 pictures of ThundeROM i didn't even post!! Yet all my personal pictures are just fine.
::sigh:: I hope this doesn't mean what i think it means. - 11-29-2010, 12:08 PM #177

It connected to my laptop secured connection, it says it connected @ 54 mbs. i can load the google screen a million times over but as soon as i try to navigate away from google, i get a IE error " unable to display". If you're clicking on something in an app list you're clicking the wrong thing. See HERE

It seems that u are doing something wrong. When all my settings are correct I have no problem navigating away from google. Check ur IPV4 settings and make sure they're set to auto obtain both on the top one and the bottom on ur computer. Once this is done find the network and connect. As long as u gave cell signal u will gave internet. And remember ur connecting through wifi.
I think the only issue that still hasn't been fixed is the bluetooth.
EDIT: or u just used the wrong app like me....lol - 11-29-2010, 07:57 PM #184
oh no, I'm talking to beezy and KSmithInNY to include the working app in this ThundeRom instead of telling people to get it, wouldn't that make more sense? for like the next release or something?

New version is up. Full wipe is required. Bluetooth and wireless tether now work.

Credit for hardware acceleration should go to the guy who made the custom recovery, when I posted it on sdx I couldn't remember his name to credit him, I've got to get better at remembering who is who.

Thanks joeseph we'll make sure to give him credit. I know who you mean just not sure of spelling. Thanks again.

No problem, sorry for any confusion, and all that stuff. Just like making sure credit is given where it is due.

is there a technical reason we need factory/data wipe?
I never done it with other roms on upgrading versions. I didn't do it with this rom from 1.0 to 1.2, and all is GREAT.
It just seems like a huge hassel to restore all programs and settings everytime we upgrade to a new version.
Thanks for your hard work! - 11-30-2010, 09:15 AM #191
In a way yes there is a technical reason to having everyone wipe everything. In this version we changed around things and made some edits that no matter how hard i tried it always spit out errors. So the way we did things this time everyone has to wipe everything so they are all set up for future updates that shouldn't require anything but a simple dalvik/cache wipe. I know it sucks that you have to wipe I have to do it countless times in testing.

I wish there was a way to get an update when the first post has been modified.
Also, how is Apps2SD coming along? - 11-30-2010, 10:10 AM #193
Is running Titanium Backup (Apps + Data) before wipe, flash and then restore Apps+Data from Titatinum backup after wipe, flash be a good idea? or just suck it up and rebuild manually?

I'm trying to update Quick Boot and it won't update.

Couple-o-questions
I know that the Voice Search thing has been discussed, however I used to be able to use it not only for searching but also for my text messages which helped immensely. I'm assuming there are two separate programs for voice? One is called "Voice Search" but I know there is another one that comes with the stock system...what is that one called?
Also I've tried using Titanium Backup Pro to backup all my user/system/app data and although it does restore the applications and system data it will not save your contact list, messages, call logs ect. I triple checked the backup I've done so I know that I made sure I did the batch operation correctly.
I heard some people using Backup Pro...I'm going to try this one next.
All in all I like the ROM, I just wish there was an updated recovery... - 11-30-2010, 10:54 AM #197

uninstall the current one, then install the update if you want. The update only adds power off which wasn't an option before.
Are you talking about speech to text? such as in you say "hello" and it types it on the screen? That's in the keyboards. Same as on any ROM custom or from the manufacturer, on any device, you hit the button that looks like a microphone on the keyboard and start talking. Swype has this, the vanilla keyboard has this, 99% of the custom keyboards in the market have this.
The link to talk to the developer, whom i believe just released an updated recovery image, can be found in the first post of this thread. He developed that, he owns that process. Any questions comments or concerns regarding recovery should be directed towards his recovery thread. - 11-30-2010, 10:59 AM #199
