Turns out I'm a huge moron. Didn't have the option checked in Messaging to turn on notifications when the phone was in Vibrate mode. Calls would vibrate, so it led me down the path of apps not being set properly.

So is there anything not working/borked with this rom? I'm a ov user and my bro with a optimus s wants something new and flashy.

Or anything i should know about before flashing? Please no flaming, i checked first post and do not see any working/ not working.

I have not noticed anything not working, but I'm sure its the odd feature I'm not using that is broke.

No, that's one problem I never had. IF I could make data2ext work, then apps I installed would either not open or disappear. On the apps that disappeared, I could still find the url(?) version of the file. IE- market would be google.vender.apk or some such.

I fought with this since thekravens CM7 versions in January.

I should say that I find S2E much easier to install and use.

Holy mutha! Thanks. It runs, it flies, and it tells me I have enough free space to include every app in the Play Store (ok, that is an exaggeration). Except for the time to backup and restore my SD card and music, before I partitioned it, it was dead easy. The Play Store told me it was not compatible in the browser, but it downloaded just fine from the phone.

Un-frickin-believable. Wow.

Hehehe.... I also use swapper2 if you want to give that a try (I also turn notifications off in SuperUser so it doesn't tell me every 2 minutes that swapper2 has been granted su permission).

I use SPD 3D shell as my launcher and it flies with S2E and Swapper2!

2 things that I have noticed before that were different from the 12-22 build (Im currently on the 3-7 build):

1) When checking the "Mute Camera Focus (shutter sound)" in the cyanogen settings(sound) and exiting it never stays checked, it always goes back to uncheck. So when I take a photo with my camera its really loud and very annoying. Is there a quick fix to this?

2) on the lock screen when trying to turn the sound off, now there sound on, vibrate, and silent. As suppose to before which was sound on, then vibrate. Is there any way to change this?

Mute sound might be broken on the 3-7 build. You can pull the camera.apk from the 3-9 build and see if it works. Other way is to delete the camera.ogg files in the media folder. Otherwise a fresh install might be recommended if settings are not sticking.

2. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the Cm settings/interface/notification power widget/notification widget button picker. And click on sound modes.

The only "fix" I can find for the settings (for me) is to make a change, back out, make the change again, then reboot... One setting at a time...

I have a Sprint Optimus S running this ROM.
I feel like my service has been crappy as of late, so I wanted to update PRL. However, when I go to "About Phone" that option (Update PRL) is gone now.
How do I update PRL while using this ROM?

You need to flash a ROM based on the stock ZVD, here is a link to post # 2183. The link is broken on the thread listed, but there is a dropbox link that works.

Thanks for the info. But how is that different than the one I am already running? I am working on updating to the newest ROM (and can certainly do that one instead) but the one I have now is the 12-21-11 build. Isn't that the same ROM, just and older version?

When trying to flash the stockvd.zip file, it tells me "E:signature verification failed Installation Aborted."

Any help? I followed all the steps listed for installing a new ROM (the same as I would do when installing a ROM for the first time. Is there something different when flashing a stock?

You need to toggle signature check off in your recovery.

Androidmeda has been doing alot of work on the CM9 audio. He got the mic with regular headphones working on cm9. That has been back ported by adfad666 to cm7. I can't test the files right now, but here they are. . Backup/Rename the two files (libaudio.so and libaudiopolicy.so in /system/lib ) , and push the files to /system/lib folder.
