Re: Official Sprint ZVD / Froyo downgrade now available
Ok so if I have ZVH and GROM, I just download the update zip and install it twice to get EVERYTHING back to ZVD? Just want to clarify what was in the comments. Then I root ZVD ans I can install CM7 right?

Re: Official Sprint ZVD / Froyo downgrade now available
You needed to flash, reboot into android. boot into recovery and reflash the update.zip, boot into android, do a factory reset (alot of gingerbread files are not compatable with froyo system).
All you need to do now is boot back into recovery (should now be stock recovery, only 4 options). run the update.zip again and once it boots back into android, do a privacy>factory reset. - 12-20-2011, 07:48 PM #55

I tried using the Sons of Korhal utility to root, but I don't think that worked...now I'm trying the E-Z installer...it's been a long time since I''ve done this haha

Re: Official Sprint ZVD / Froyo downgrade now available
I was on ZVH so I went to recovery, turned off Sig Verification, and flashed the zip. I tried rebooting but I;m stuck on the android logo. How can I get to stock recovery so I can flash my radio?
Edit: jk i got it. for some reason, i wait for the longest time for an issue to solve. when i finally decide to post on the forum, it fixes itself! :PLast edited by xplode196; 02-27-2012 at 08:52 PM.

Yes you can. As long as it is stock recovery.

I'm trying to do this on my Optimus and I keep getting a signature error and it aborts the installation. It does it when I try to flash a ROM too. What's going on?
Edit: never mind, I figured it out. Toggled the signature verification and its installing now.

How long does this usually take? I'm stuck in the Sprint logo. Oh and I should mention that my power button doesn't work so my phone may be screwed until I can take it apart and see if I can figure out what is going on with that button.

You can do it from Option F of this tool:
[How-To] Automated Rooting of LS670ZVD/ZVH/ZVJ - 04-28-2012, 01:00 PM #72
Update: I resoldered the power button and was able to get it to work. I booted it into recovery and reinstalled the update and rebooted it. It's doing the same thing again, getting stuck on the sprint logo. Now what? I can probably get it back to recovery so that shouldn't be an issue.
Just for the hell of it, the phone is ZVH on Hydro ROM. Should I try a factory reset from CWM? What will happen if I do that?

If I'm on hydrorom running zvh and xionia, can I just flash the update.zip? Or do I need to do something weird?

Re: Official Sprint ZVD / Froyo downgrade now available
In theory, yes. You have to flash it, boot into android, reboot to recovery, flash it again. Boot it up, reboot again, factory reset, then flash again, reboot.
That's what I tried on mine but it's not working and I keep getting stuck at the Sprint logo. I'm about to just say screw it. I got a new phone anyway, I was just going to use the Optimus to test some ROMs. - 04-28-2012, 03:24 PM
