I am looking for people to help me develop a dual boot GB Rom

I need a few people to help me develop a dual boot Rom for the optimus S if you would like to help either message me or comment thanks! BTW i would like to create this for GB 2.3.3 Baseband MVH

I'd help with the themes...but we need to develop the rom on ZVD...mvh is hardly used anymore...even kraven's cm7 uses zvd.... I can develop the themes for the roms in UOT and test them on MY Optimus.... sound good??

How exactly do you plan to do this? The Optimus S has a small /system partition. Though is is possible to boot a system from the SD card it would be very taxing on the life of the SD card.

Actually zvd only has one active Rom right now being cm7 by kraven. Last I checked anyway

Iam working on a way to modify how the cache runs to free up some space however this is not easy in any way this might never run properly but i have already started on the project . due to the partion being so small i will need to put two roms together then make a custom recovery which i have already started it will be two roms combined so it will act as one but when it boots you can choose witch one you would like to boot in theory this will work but like i said it is no easy task and it will take several bricks to make it right.

These roms will have to be kind of small in order for all of the information to fit.

Would it be possible to allow one Rom to run from phone cache and one form SD? Probably not and as stated would be hard on the SDcard.

Dual boot is a real challenge for the Optimus S, with its limited internal memory. You'll probably want to go all internal for such a config and this thing barely has enough for one ROM.

Running Android from SD has been done on other devices, like the Windows Mobile 6 devices that were made dual boot or booted from inside WM6. Also look at the AndroidonHTC projects, Touch Pro 2 project, Nook CM7 project, and Android on Touchpad project.

A high-end SD card should be able to provide the performance and reliability needed to run the OS just fine. Take a look at the performance tests collected here, in the Nook Color forums where they're running CM7:

In short, Sandisk cards consistently have some of the best 4kb random read and write performance when tested in CrystalDiskMark. This matters for running an OS.
