Re: Any ics roms?
at the moment there are no ICS roms for the optimus S. Cyanogen mod 9 for ICS(I think).
There are no ETA's for cm so don't know when we will get an unofficial cm9 port.
I don't think there will be an OTA update to ICS - 12-22-2011, 04:58 PM #3

You will never get an actual cm9 rom. They don't even support it as is for cm7. There are waaay too many phones out for them to support every device made. This is still not impossible to build one... first issue is going to be drivers. You need ics to work with the device drivers first. Anyone gonna build one? Or is everyone just talking about it??? I tried to get it going earlier for you guys but I still haven't seen a rom... If this was still my only device I would be more into development for it but really doesn't make sense for me to spend countless hours/days on a project I'll end up never using. I hope someone decides to build one tho! Ics is sexy

I would love work on this but I literally have no clue where to start. I think this would be best tackled by someone who has some working knowledge. I doubt this would be the right place for a novice to start.

Re: Any ics roms?
Here's a couple of the largest issues.
1) Touchscreen. We have what's called a "legacy" touchscreen driver. It's missing a lot of stuff needed for ICS to work with the touchscreen properly.
2) We are also using legacy GPU shims. Since we don't have source for the GPU libraries, ICS has to be configured to properly use the legacy libraries. This is very hit or miss.
3) Radio (Calls/SMS/3G). Should be pretty self-explanatory. - 12-24-2011, 08:13 PM #9
