After spending 3 days trying to port a CM9 rom to work with ZVJ with no success, I am now hoping and wishing that someone who knows what they are doing can build a ROM.

Just downgrade to zvd where cm9 is availible and wait for zvj cm9 to come out sense is gonna be on zvd soon but install cold as ice while waiting or install cm7

If I have some spare time I'll take a stab at it, but it's not by any means a priority.

That Would be MUCH appreciated. As stated in OP I spent 3 days pouring through forums (here & XDA) and trying to "rig" a port. All I got was the splash screen and then it rebooted back to recovery. Thank god for nandroids.

I also understand that this is not a priority. I really appreciate all the GREAT work you and everyone on team HYDRO have done for our little wonder. Too bad LG won't make an official ICS for us.

They wont make official ics we barely got a working gingerbread and a good working but not fully working cm9 so don't get ur hopes up

yeah, we got a working Gb about 2 months before we start seeing leaks for JB. (and the double-tapping bug still exists) LG, you guys fail.

I can confirm the double-tapping bug does still exist in the ZVJ stock kernel. When you touch the screen, the system freaks out and causes the CPU to spike at 100% until you lift your finger(s) off the screen. Very annoying. There are fixes for this published all across the interwebz and yet LG still (seemingly) refuses to fix it.

actually, I believe me2151 mentioned he got data working on zvj. However, I could be wrong.

As I know this is a very low priority for all the devs... any tips for porting a ZVD rom to work on ZVJ would also be nice... I already found a tutorial for porting using the HTC kitchen, but that did not seem to work.
