I've also have had the menu power-button issue. Battery pull needed. Flashed on ZVJ. Not being a pesk, just trying to help. Plus, I liked the ROM so much, that I did a NAND backup of it , before I restored stock.

Ugh. I'll look into it. I think that is an issue with the Optimus One ports as well. Easy to fix? Probably not.

If everything was easy, would you have been doing this so long? Challenges are what make it lively

A little more detail: long-press power button pulled up menu as usual. Whenever I touched any of the options in the menu, it just went back to the home screen without executing the command. Reboot button brought up the reboot options dialog, but again, choosing one of those options went back to home screen without executing the command.

Oh...I can't reproduce that. Did you wipe everything before flashing?

Did full wipe plus used the debug-formatsystem zip before flashing. After pulling the battery, I did not reboot back into your Sense ROM, I just recovered my CM9 nand. I'll try again this afternoon to see if I can reproduce the issue if things are slow at work.

This will be a great rom once wifi is working. I liked it better than the 3.5 port.

OK, I played with it some more and had the same issues:
Xionia 1.2518.6 recovery, ZVD (if that makes any difference right now)
    wipe data/factory reset
    wipe cache partition
    format boot, system, data, cache
    apply debug-formatSYSTEM.zip
(I don't think there's anything else to wipe short of formatting the SD card!)
    flash ROM, reboot

Went through setup, tooled around a little bit. Long-press power button, touch power off. White HTC splash screen comes up and screen goes dark.
    Success? Well, not so much.
Long-pressed powerbutton to restart - nothing. Short-press power button - get lockscreen. Pull ring to unlock, phone is mostly responsive. I note that the time in the notification bar is frozen, and the clock widget is frozen. Apply another clock widget and it starts displaying the correct time, notification bar displayed time is still frozen. Go to music, it tells me SD card is unmounted. Try to shut down again, but it goes right back to homescreen (not even a splash this time). Same response when trying reboot.
Pull battery, reboot back into ROM.
Same things happen when trying to power off. Except this time the notification bar disappeared.
Pull battery, reboot back into ROM.
Same systems, notification bar gone again.
Pulled battery, reboot back into ROM. I haven't touched anything.

I get the feeling it is trying to shut down, but gets hung up somewhere.

Let me know if there's anything you want me to try in the next 2-3 hours before I leave work (I need to restore a working ROM before I leave )

I think tonight I'll download the file again and flash - there may be something corrupted with my copy. I can't do that at work.

Question. I wanted to see if i could get wifi to work so I mixed drivers from the stock ZVD rom, (even tho' im on zvj) and when it gets to the sprint logo, it shuts down and reboots to recovery. Don't know what I did wrong, but I'll give up and wait for you to release a wifi version.

I downloaded again and reflashed. Same results. I did find out that if I went to restart first, it would reboot just fine normally and into recovery. It's when I try to power down that the flakiness starts.
Is it possible to get a logcat during a shutdown?

Stability isn't really a issue to me since this is a alpha project but okay I'll wait. :P

If you wipe everything manually in recovery the debug zip is redundant.
