Re: [RECOVERY] Cannibal Open Touch v1.0.6 (GooManager support!)

Drew, trying to flash tdm's new LS670 build in Cannibal 1.06

Here is what I get:

LS670-cm9-beta1pre1.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "thunderc" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "thunderc" ||
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "LS670" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "LS670" ||
E:Error in /sdcard/quattrimus-LS670-cm9-beta1pre1.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

tdm is asking me - "What are the values of these props in your recovery?"

All I see is what I typed above, any suggestions?

And at the upper right of your post is shows #168 in this thread.

That post number 1854804 is an absolute number for the entire forums software. Forum searches will not work with those numbers, I just tried.

Re: [RECOVERY] Cannibal Open Touch v1.0.6 (GooManager support!)

At the end of the current URL it takes you to this post. Anyways, I just quoted it for you. Follow the posts back and I think it leads to TDM's asserts failing like this, then the OP saying the following. Anyways, considering the following, it's probably safe to say we'll have to edit TDM's ROM instead of getting it fixed here in Cannibal, seeing Cannibal is for the S, not V. :/

Oh, you're on an Optimus V. I definitely can't help you there. This copy of Cannibal Open Touch is for the Optimus S (LS670) ONLY.

Re: [RECOVERY] Cannibal Open Touch v1.0.6 (GooManager support!)

Lol... I thought you were going to quote the post about how thekraven's port wasn't set up correctly for the recovery. Instead, you quote something about the OptiV being incompatable. BTW, LS670 is an OptiS

I am on an Optimus S (LS670), using Cannibal for Optimus S (LS670).

tdm is now building for Optimus S (LS670)

Post #6062.

Here is the file link.
Goo.im Downloads - Browsing LS670

The LG Optimus S is known as the LS670 or thunderc, all those are in the errors I typed.

Thanks for the attempt. I am trying to flash and Optimus S ROM on an Optimus S phone using an Optimus S recovery. :D

Apologies. I saw that but it didn't register lol. Since I'm using V I'll probably get those errorrs too though.. Too bad, I liked this recovery. Optimus V users need one of these. :)

Ya. I fixed that by long tapping the link and pressing "Save link". Server isn't requesting you to download the file like it should be, is all,

Re: [RECOVERY] Cannibal Open Touch v1.0 (It's....ALIVE!)

Finally decided to click on this. I don't understand it. I want to take apart a Boot.img for the image after the LG sign. the RLE thing I believe.

I want to take it apart on a PC and replace files after editing.

Please and thank you. :D
I made a bunch of scripts to pack, unpack, convert to png, etc. You might find them useful. Only works on Linux btw.

Re: [RECOVERY] Cannibal Open Touch v1.0.6 (GooManager support!)

im not sure if its a bug or not but if I start to install a rom and want to un-plug my phone its like the recovery does a hot boot back in to its self and will not install anything till i re format everything again

Honestly, during the actual install process of anything from recovery, I would not advise even touching the phone. Interrupting a flash like that can cause all sorts of issues. Last thing you want is a brick, so I would advise setting the phone down and let it do its thing. ;)
