ZVD(froyo) vs ZVJ (Gingerbread)

I'm currently on ZVD running Cyanogenmod 7. I'm thinking about upgrading to ZVJ because supposedly the battery life is supposed to be better. So those who have been on both, can you confirm this to be true or is it about the same?

I personally saw a lose of 2 he's of battery life with stock zvj

Meh, imo they're about the same. Zvd may be a little better, but not significantly.

Plus you have to factor in that custom roms are going to change it up some so...your results will vary.

I just reverted to ZVD after a month of seriously trying to accept ZVJ. I finally decided it was worth the time/energy to revert. I noticed slightly less battery life on ZVJ but nothing to complain about. I tend to run fairly minimal settings on CM7 so that might be the difference. HydroRom is great but I ended up missing CM7, but the nail in the coffin was the 'radio sleep' issue messing up my tethering.
