how to tether usb wifi on phone to vista?

Im rooted zvd on cm7. I put LG driver for USB and tether, on computer but don't get net or computer to show phone. When connected it says searching for profiles and all says its ready.

Also what is a free program for this purpose. Not much info brought up on several searches.

Try Foxfi. You have to find it online (I think it's been removed from Play), but it works well. Sometimes, too well.

Well on rooted cm7 turning on foxfi hotspot, turns off wifi connection manager on phone which is only way it connects to certain wifi networks. AND there is no wep access.

15 years ago movie jackel dude connects phone to laptop to use bfg.

Why is this so hard to do today?

Anyone know ho to do it?

iirc windows doesn't properly connect to cm7's built-in usb tether. it works with linux though.
btw are you trying to use your phone as a wifi adapter for a wifi-less computer? or are you simply trying to connect a computer to sprint's 3g network?
