    Default Phone thinks it's in "Auto Brightness" - App triggered?

    So this is random... I can adjust brightness levels from Power control widget/Extended Controls just fine. But the phone still thinks it is in "Auto Brightness" (the indicator for Extended Controls says "Auto" and when I set it to popup the current display level on toggle it always says "Auto Brightness")

    Trying to think of an app or setting that would make Android (HydroROM, Gingerbread) think Auto Brightness was enabled, when it doesn't have that setting in the Settings application....

    update: played with extended controls enough and i guess i triggered something back. that was random.
