Default SD card wont mount if there is an EXT4 partition

Figured I should start separate thread to not clog up the Kit Kat thread. I'm trying to install the OS2SD version of the Kit Kat rom but I'm having problems mounting my SD card. I soft bricked once (I've realize how I could have easily fixed the problem, explained later...) eventually was able to restore to 100% stock. Installed Gingerbreak, and am now rooted on 2.2 with the OS2SD CWM recovery installed. I've noticed that when my SD card is formatted as one large FAT32 partition, my card mounts in OS and recovery no problem. When I partition it (using MiniTool Partition Wizard) into 3 Ext4 partitions of at least 256 MB (I partitioned them as 2Gb, 512Mb, & 512Mb), both Android and recovery can't mount the SD card. Android must be able to see the SD card because it notifies me when i eject it, but does nothing when i click it back in. Recovery is pretty much the same, when no SD card there isn't option to mount it, when SD card is in there is option to mount but it is unable to mount.

tl;dr: No Ext4 partition = SD card mounts, With Ext4 partition = SD card can't mount.

you have to have the first partition vfat(fat32)
that's what Android sees as sd card.
you didn't mention the vfat with the ext's

The way I had my card set up with MiniTools would be like this

    |---------------------------29Gb Fat32----------------------------| |----2Gb Ext4----| |-512Mb Ext4-| |-512Mb Ext4-|
Fat32 is set as primary, the Ext4's set as logicals.

Just a status update. I reformatted my card as you said, same sizes as i wrote about only now all partitions are set as primary. Android boots and can see my card, and normal CWM can see it also! Now my problem is getting OS2SD version CWM to boot. In regular CWM, I flash OS2SD CWM .zip --> it says successful --> reboot into recovery --> LG logo displays --> black screen --> red CWM logo displays for about 3 seconds then black screen --> LG logo --> Android boots. I tried extracting the recovery.img and installing with Flash Image GUI, it says successful but still unable to successfully boot into OS2SD recovery. Any ideas?
