Re: [Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)
Are you booted into android, you should be able to use your phone like normal? Apps, phone ect...! If you are not just reboot phone like normal, once booted into android then start adb shell.
You dont want to be booted into recovery. IF stock recovery showing 4 options, or custom like 6 options. If you are seeing anything like that reboot phone like normal!Current Device(s): Motorola Droid Razr
Previous Device(s): LG Optimus S
Always happy to help out, Just remember to hit that thanks button!

Re: [Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)
Hello folks, well I sold the VM Optimus V (rooted) and using ClockworkMod v3.2.0.1 and 1 day before shipping it out I did the factory reset, to erase all personal information, and guess what, now it will only boot to the ClockworkMod Recovery mode what a bummer. I tried installing the Xionia Clockwork but it will abort all the time, I'm not sure what to do now to get it to boot to the OS, I did save the original information right after I rooted the phone and, and it had been working fine until yesterday. can someone help me get this phone fixed? I just want to take it to factory standards so I can sell it or use it as a backup. Thanks

Try the Optimus V forums. They should be better informed on the Optimus V, whereas we have Optimus S experts.

Re: [Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)
Sounds like a factory reset from the Privacy menu. That's a no go wtih a custom recovery. If you did it from within recovery, you have no ROM installed.

Re: [Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)
So I decided to upgrade to ZVJ and now I've got the stock sprint rom, rooted (with superuser) but no recovery :/
I followed these instructions: [How-To] Manual Rooting of LS670ZVH/ZVJ (+ links to root ZVD/ZV9)
I noticed on reboot that i can't get to recovery, from adb shell sending 'reboot recovery' as su doesn't work either.
I installed xionia CM as per instructions on page 1 of this thread with no luck. Vol + and home when powering on doesn't do it either.
any thoughts? - 07-14-2012, 10:27 AM #987
Re: [Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)
What happens when you run 'reboot recovery' as root in a terminal emulator?
Have you verified that you have a working su binary? You might try installing Root Checker to aid in troubleshooting.
Since you have a working ROM, you might also try manually flashing COT Recovery, as it it newer, more featured and seems to play nicer with the CM9 builds. If you are inclined to spend a lot of money and want a pretty trophy with which to pass the next few years of your life that talks to you in a condescending voice, can't navigate to save its life, expects full control over all you do, demands $13 for a $3 purchase, allegedly has a single recessed button, needs an expensive computer and a credit card to do anything, hates your music and has purses designed just for it...New to LG's premium Android phone? Re: [Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)
Got it using [How-To] Automated Rooting of LS670ZVD/ZVH/ZVJ
I was probably missing the superuser allow prompt behind the lockscreen
Thanks for all the quick responses!Last edited by bbeaulg; 07-14-2012 at 11:19 AM. Reason: Who wants to sound ungrateful?

Re: [Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)
Currently I am running Xionia CWMA V1.2518.6 and HydroRom. All is working well. Can I flash stock ZVD/ZVJ using custom recovery, or do I have to revert to stock recovery? If stock recovery is needed is there a writeup on how to do it?
Thanks. - 08-08-2012, 02:05 PM #993
What are you trying to do? Unroot and return to stock? You can do so that way, download the zvd update.zip to the sdcard. Boot to xionia, disable signature verification and flash. Follow all prompts until booted back into stock zvd. Then power off phone, then press home, volume down, and power until passed the first animation to get into recovery. Now you are on stock recovery, choose apply update.zip and again follow all prompts. The second flash is very important! That is the one that flashed the radio image and you will have no service if not done. If it stalls at any of these steps, pull the battery and manually boot into recovery and preform a data wipe/factory reset before trying again.

You should try COT Recovery instead, it has many more features, is themeable, and is still supported by it's dev.

Re: [Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)
Well... it means the installation failed for some reason. Could be a root permissions failure, could be a signature/hash failure, could be any number of things. Did you use root check, check the md5sum or the log? What do they say?
I agree with Va1ha11a, go for COT; link is in the Welcome Guide, linked below.
