update via comp and vc rom

how many people have just updated over the comp and then flashed the vc rom to restore root. wondering if it actually works cause restoring to stock isnt working for me

can u do a step by step of every thing u did

1) From v9 baseband and LEGO, install Titanium Backup and make backup of apps, download and extract VCRom v6? <-- only tried v6 on sdcard
2) Start LG Update Tool on PC, start update process
3) Wait until process finishes
4) Let the phone reboot
5) Go to command prompt, and do "adb reboot recovery"
6) Wipe data/cache/davlik
7) Flash VCRom v6 from sdcard
8) Reboot, install Titanium backup and restore apps/settings
