ok, got the installer, gonna check it out. (yes, also got the required all around.) thanks
And, yes. I am aware, but are you?
I caught this thread in the middle somewhere from another place, got confused, posted the question, read the post pages, found the beginning, took the advice, and did it.
So, that said, if anyone wants to know how to "ROOT their SPRINT LG ls670 The start page of this thread, leads to a successfull root of this device if you keep in mind these things.
1. Seems obvious, wasn't to me ) This is all done on the desktop computer.
2. The instructions are simple, but you may have missed the requirements. STOP!
3. The requirements have requirements...So, find the first requirement. "Get and install .NET 3.1" (There's a link.)
4. NOW you can install the 1st requirement (confusing ain't it?) .NET 4
5. Read the posts again because I think there's a couple more requirements? Maybe not.
6. Have the Droid plugged in by USB debugging.
7. Go to the Gingerbreak folder on the desktop computer. Open it, and pick one. (I'm not sure because there seems to be a DOS application that may have to go first, may not need, try a couple.)
8. If it doesn't start, do what it tells you.
9. If it does, hit the button (Mine actually started with "UN" root, so I did.
10. If you did what I did, do it again. (This time hit "Root")
11. Wonder what all that new information is and what the heck you think you are going to do with it now that you just did.)
