I tried running the sprint nascar app and it says you must be a sprint or nextel user to use this app.
Not sure if it has something to do with reborn rom or not.
Can anyone help me figure out why this doesnt run.

Edit the build.prop.

Change:
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Reborn ROM

To:
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Sprint

Only side effect is that your notification says Sprint instead of Reborn ROM.

What do you do to remove the Sprint Apps after you flashed them? They are not listed in the Apps menu to uninstall from system settings.

How do you do this?

You need to use Titanium Backup to remove them as they are system apps thus not uninstallable via the normal fashion.

Tried it when going from reborn 2.2 to 2.2.1 and it failed installing.
I unzipped it in windows and recompressed it after editing.

Use an app like ES File Explorer and open build.prop located in /system. Make the change and then save it. Reboot and you're golden.

If you change a zip file you need to sign it before flashing it. Simply making a change and recompressing it won't work.

This probably one of the easiest ways to do it. Another option is to pull the file with adb, make changes, and push it back.

I tried this and it keeps saying error when saving. What am I doing wrong. I get into build prop and change the line hit menu and save. And there is the error message. I new to the build prop so any help is appreciated.

I tried this and I get the error too!

In ES File Explorer go into Settings then into Root Options. From there, check Root Explorer and select HIAPK and Mount File System so /system is then writable. When you are done, uncheck those options because ES File Explorer is known to crash on the next restart if those options are enabled.

It works now! Thanks!
