My wife has an Optimus S. She recently said "yes" to an update notification. I didn't see it, so I don't know if this was a firmware update, or what. Her phone is now at Android 2.3.3, Kernel 2.6.35.7 - perf

Anyway, the update changed the default keyboard (along with some other things, but...). Instead of just 3 rows of characters plus the row with the space bar, there's now a row of yellow symbols above the QWERT row. This has made the rest of the keys smaller, which drives my wife crazy.

I can't see any configuration setting to remove this extra row. Anyone know if it's possible?

Thanks.
