I think one of the best things goin' for us is that after the being fed-up passes, it's hard to give up a hobby, especially one you enjoy that lets you use your brain and that people appreciate.

Fingers crossed. Or drew might find more time, energy, and desire to work on his ICS port for ZVJ. If it got to a comparable level, I'd upgrade.

Either way, I hope this is a learning experience for the community.

Well as a matter of fact i dont condone stealing from anyone. I just do not believe cammy was intentionally trying to do anything wrong, ( resident *****)? Furthermore, i meant what i said to " thekraven" i did not say it for any of you.

Everybody take a breath! All this negative back-and-forth crap contributed to thekraven leaving in the first place. Intentional or not, and let's be honest, it's hard to believe it wasn't intentional, what cammykool did was not "kool"!

Yeah I don't even know all of the facts and I'm sure that no one else knows the real reason why he stopped so really all anyone can do is wait if Kraven tells everyone what's going on, but yeah all of this back and forth stuff is pointless, it is not solving anything especially if not everyone knows all of the facts, and like drew said decisions are made for reasons and if Kraven wants us to know he will tell us, but making the forum ground zero for the first android war will do more harm than good... But as for all of the negative comments just keep them to yourself because obviously everyone has different opinions and arguing about it wont solve anything, it wont change Kraven's decision on quitting his development, and it wont get other people to understand your reasoning

thekraven sent a PM to testers telling us why. It was mirrors, posts on other sites and donate buttons, as stated already.

I'm sooo bummed about Cold-As-Ice. Although I didn't spend one ten-thousandth as much time as theKraven spent, I spent a bunch of time trying the alphas, posting bugs, and reading the thread so as not to post useless stuff.

I wish theKraven had posted on the Cold-As-Ice thread, his reasons for quitting. If he had told everyone that it was because of links or something, then it might have helped tprevent such problems in the future. If he had warned that he would quit if A, B & C persisted, then it might have prevented further A, B & C.

I certainly thank him for his effort.

What's our next best hope for ICS?

Yeah I kind of messed up that post, I should have read the posts a little more... But It's a real shame that the whole community has to suffer because of people like that...

Tdm is trying to round up a posse to continue on ics for optimus s. I will even be as involved as I can be. He merged the kravens branch with his already. I will let you guys know when things really get rolling. Go over to the quattromus thread and give him a thanks if your in the neighborhood

Having handset mic issues that have been persistent since Alpha 9. Handset speaker works, I don't have a headset mic, but I would like to know if there's any way to get the handset mic to work...

Is there any of you OS peeps who want to help maintain tdm's builds for your phone? Tdm will have most of it set up for you, you will just need to maintain it. Pm me or tdm if interested. You need some knowledge on building, but don't need to be an expert. Its a good chance for a casual builder to step up. Plus tdm is a Linux genius. You can learn a lot a long the way.

If I could have gotten my net connection to work properly under Linux I would be game to help but for some reason it drops out and will not work till I reboot. Works fine in winblows tho

What chipset is your WiFi card? I had a similar issue but found a good fix for it.

I'll take a shot in the dark and guess that your WiFi card is based on the rt28xx line. The driver built-in to Ubuntu 12.04 is VERY VERY buggy. Let me know and I'll point you to a guide for building the driver from official Ralink source.

Im using my desktop and its a Realtek RTL8111E lan that I use wired, Ive tried to use Ubuntu 11.xx and 12.04 and its the same with both. full specs are
Phenom II 925 @ 3.71GHz
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
Corsair Vengeance @1488 Timings of 9-9-9-24-1T
2x Kingston 64gb ssd's, 1x 120gb, 2x 80gb
Sapphire 5850 Toxic
Cooler Master CM690, Samsung Sync Master 2232BW plus

Oh, you're on ethernet...now that's interesting...
