It focuses. It snaps pictures, but I'm starting to think the camera's shutter/aperture is all software.
I don't think anyone who has taken a picture with the Optimus S expects much, but the quality of the photos is way disappointing. Coming from a Samsung Moment (as many of us seem to) one of the things you couldn't complain about was the picture quality.
I looked in to the Exif data provided by pictures from both phones and my moment generated data much like a camera would. The Optimus S doesn't seem to generate any Exif data beyond Focal Length.
Does anyone know anything about how this thing works? Is there a way to improve it? I'd hate to start having to carry a point and shoot around again.
