I know the lack of a notification LED is a big complaint about this phone. Im not sure how many have or are using 'NoLED', but i found it to be a huge battery vampire when showing a notification. I found another app that used the touch button at the bottom of the screen that seems to work using a lot less battery. Its called 'LG Touch LED Notifications' , so far it has worked flawlessly for me.

Note: Requires root

I tried this and it said my phone needed to be rooted. Any specific way i need to change the settings?

Yeah, you need to change the ROOT settings. As in , GET IT!

I tried the app as well, now that I'm rooted, and it did indeed work flawlessly.

I have a Straight Talk LG Optimus Q -- To use the LG Touch Notification app, how do I root it??
