Upgraded to MM on thursday, had a few issues right after (some contacts got jacked up, had to re-do the metadata on almost all of my songs, etc) today I tried to purchase a new app from play store, and play store crashes...Everytime I have to enter my password for Playstore, it accepts the password and then I get the msg "unfortunatley, Play store has stopped working" If I download an app with no purchase needed, it works fine...any ideas?
I tried cleaing app cache....I uninstalled the newest update...not sure what else to do...really don't want to do a factory reset if I cna at all avoid it...just dont have the patience for that right now...ugggh

Ended up biting the bullet and doing factory restore :( seems OK now

It still baffles me how many folks have to to a factory reset after an OS upgrade, because things don't work right after. That is really pathetic. I might just stay on Lollipop just because of that.

This isn't related to the play store, my gps was way off after mm update. I rebooted my phone all is good. Try a reboot 1st.

Most often clearing device cache will fix problems after a major OS update. In some cases it will require a reset. Data is being updated and replaced, which could lead to unwanted issues. It doesn't take long to reset and restore.

Yeah... always been like that on android... when i tried iphone it was so much smoother and never lost info, never reset anything... then again... didn't have nova, custom widgets, icons, fonts etc etc... fresh start never hurts...
