how to safely return a phone after boot loop?

Hello everyone,

So my V10 boot looped two days ago, this was my second one, the first one the GPS failed. Verizon replaced my phone and the new one has arrived. My question is since I cannot access the factory reset due to the loop, I tried, it wont let me in the menu, how do I make sure any sensitive information is off my phone when i return it? I have been contemplating a hammer....any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure nobody can get the data off the phone--well, maybe not nobody, but nobody in the normal chain of events of a returned bootloop phone can.

LG said they replaced the flash RAM on my bootlooped phone; if that was bad, then everything was gone anyway.

Use Android device manager. You can sign in and wipe the phone.

That only works if the phone is functional and connects to the Internet

Did you try sticking the phone in the freezer? It may allow temporary access to the data so it can be factory reset.
