It would be a huge step backwards.

If this is like the V10, that would be the same distance backwards ;) The Note 7 though has one of the more accurate color gamuts of a device (Display mate, reviews) , where as the initial reviews of the V20 state it is not good. Light bleed, weak contrast, inaccurate colors and bad view angles.

That said, if the final retail units have better calibration and image quality- fantastic! I would be interested for VR, since Android Headlines mentioned it is great for VR movie watching due to the LCD array design. No screen door like the OLED displays :) Just wish the contrast was better than they said it was.

Well it seems like the V20 will be rolling out on the 29th of this month in Korea so we should start seeing real reviews show up around that time as most of the V10 reviews last year were from the Korean units. So next week we should have all of our specific questions answered concerning battery life, audio recording, smoothness, the new camera controls and video capture. Also If you hashtag V20 on Instagram you can already find some of the most amazing shots taken with people cool enough to get test units.

Google just ramped up their marketing for the Pixels yesterday. Billboards in times square, etc. All for just the Oct 4 announcement date. They are going to over shadow LG big time.

LG should have had the phones in stores by end of next week at latest. Late October they are going up head to head, vs Google Pixels, HTC Bolt, and Note 7.

Totally agree. Will this year's Google phones be released through carrier or unlocked only like previous models. Were there any Google phones released through carrier as well as unlocked?

Guys please visit this guys page on Instagram. He has some amazing shots and a super cool video showcasing the Steady Record feature. This screen shot does it no justice. Check out the other V20 pictures as well.

I think the rumor is a Verizon branded pixel this year. It's been done before I think.

A 300mah difference between the two doesn't make it uninspiring.

Battery life is kind of weak for the V10 (just like the MXPE). Both have two power hogs: 808's inefficient GPU and 1440p 5.7" LCD displays. Factor in the 820s more efficient GPU/CPU (about 10% battery weight improvement) and the 9.4% bigger battery, the V20 should get near 20% better battery life.

20% improvement is not too shabby,
