What tweaks did you do?
I'm at 4.5 hrs and only got 5% battery left

No tweaks.. I have location on "battery save" and I have battery saver kick in at 15 percent. Other than that it's all how it is out of the box... I don't use WiFi cause it drains more battery than it saves for me on TMobile .

Are you just not at a Wi-Fi hot spot, or are you saying actively using Wi-Fi drains more battery than mobile? When I'm on Wi-Fi, it saves me a ton of battery life.

Actively using WiFi.. Of course when I use my device as a Hotspot it drains.. But when I'm using my cell towers, just normally every day.. The battery life is better.. Has been since I left Sprint years ago.

Bootloader unlocked and rooted.
Same setup otherwise with 3 email accounts all set to push.
Since it was football day I probably sent/received 100 texts and received about 100-150 Twitter notifications since I follow a few reporters that cover Texas games.
Mix of Wi-Fi and cell.

Over 14 hours up, 6 hours SOT, 20% left.

I only did about 4 hours of SOT but this is crazy. I've never seen one of my devices do this... And you see in the last 3 hours I used 26 percent.. Haha

What advatanges did rooting do for you to achieve this SOT?

I watch a lot of YouTube but at min brightness so I'd say this is very similar to my Note 7... V20 definitely has better reception which helps it keep up with larger batteries...

What advatanges did rooting do for you to achieve this SOT?

Blocking ads with Adaway might be the only thing but not sure how much that really helped. I primarily unlocked/rooted to get Google assistant. So I have that running as well with no obvious detriment to battery life. Development is still early for the V20.

My final judgement. Phone idle is one killer. If i watch red tube than its should be more. Opps, I mean YouTube.

Download gsam battery monitor.

I have that, but it seems for most users posting screenshots from the normal Settings>Battery screens on the phone, under the graph it shows Usage on battery, then estimated usage remaining, then last 3 hours of usage. I have tota; usage and last 3 hours, but not estimated time remaining. On verizon if that makes a difference, maybe they stole that feature lol

so, my last 24.4 hours... I plugged my phone in for a minute or two to transfer a file to my computer.
- left GPS on high accuracy for Waze (i plugged my phone in, but it wasn't plugged in to my lighter so it wasn't charging and I didn't notice. haha)
- no wifi
- screen brightness on "Smart" via Lux, it stayed around 31%
- uninstalled FB and Messenger when that drain was happening...
- Used my phone like normal without any baby sitting..
- Played some games..
-Took some pics..

Got 30 hours this time around and 5 hrs 15m of SOT. Same usage as before.
