V20 not recognized exfat external usb hard drive

V20 failed to :
1. Switch from USB power supply to File Transfer; File Transfer and Photo Transfer
2. Using USB 3.0 otg dongle, V20 not recognized exFat formatted external usb hard drive.

Anyone experienced same issues ?

How to safely eject USB stick ?

1. How large is the stick?

2. As long as you haven't written to the stick (if it's not recognized, you couldn't have), you can safely just remove it. ("Safely remove" means "finish writing to it, then notify the user".)

exFAT should work. It probably would for sure with FAT32, but limits file size to less than 4GB- if that is an issue. There are apps that will allow FAT32 format for large drives.
