I noticed Google changed the new tab page on Chrome, removing the very useful bookmarks and recent tabs links, instead replacing them with a bunch of click bait ads. I found this article, which shows how to set things right again.

https://techcrunch.com/2016/10/24/g...rticle-suggestions-heres-how-to-disable-them/

In my case, clicking the flag links wasn't working. I had copy the link text then paste that to the URL bar to prevent it from trying to convert to a https URL.

I posted this here because I don't have this on my G4 with Chrome fully updated, so figured it may be relevant to all the new V20 owners.

Boy, that sure is annoying.:-\ But I don't see it on my 6P either. Is it really a V20 issue, or is it possibly a limited "feature" they rolled out to select users or regions as a test?

It's apparently something new in the "Chrome 54 Release" according to the source article also showing this fix. So it may be somewhat device dependent. I'm not sure if this so called feature was on the out of the box version of Chrome because I updated it in Play as part of the setup.

This is great. I didn't really notice this when opening new tabs, but now that you've pointed it out, I can't unsee them!
