You can try it. I had the deluxe version for free when I was on T-Mobile. It is an irritant IMHO. I disabled it on my new V20

Phone should be safe. I mean you're not going install third party app from unknown source.

Lookout, don't hate it or need it. Never once I register an account with them. I just let it scan for fun.

I echo this. To me it's just bloatware.

I watched that 60 minutes special on phone hacking that featured Lookout, scared me to death. I downloaded it, but then it asked for so many permissions, I never fully installed it.

Was really freaky how easy someone can hack into your phone though. I never use any other WiFi outside my home because of it!
