Got my new unlocked v20 but text messaging keeps crashing

So I got my unlocked v20 today and was all excited. Anyway when I try and talk in text message the app keeps crashing and freezing up. Is this normal? I do have a lot of google apps trying to update.

Did I get a bad phone possibly?

Messenger working okay now and my apps are done updating but my phone is running quite warm still. Is this normal? I don't remember my Note 7 fireball ever running this warm.

How warm is warm? Try installing gsam and monitor the temperature. Mine is usually around 27c during normal usage, max 37c. (Low compared to the g4)

Cooler now. However I notice in texting the keyboard doesn't give vibrate feedback when typing and I can't find it in the settings anywhere. Is vibrating feedback only a samsung thing?

The keyboard can vibrate... but I don't use that. Maybe someone else will help out.
