I hope it's not too annoying, but I thought I'd start a series of camera tip threads.

First up: if you're using the zoom when shooting a video, you might want to disable "steady recording". This camera actually does an impressive job of zoomed video recording, but the steady feature actually turns it into a shaky mess!

Try it out, and let me know!

Samples:

1 - with steady recording enabled

2 - with steady recording disabled

Just tried it with and without steady record no zoom though. Video without steady record definitely stabilizes faster after shakes

Never will understand how a feature this hyped was seemingly never tested in rewl world use. i tried mutiple times, multiple shooting situations, and every time it looked like I was recording during an earthquake. Really, really horrible feature. When you have to work that hard and be in the most specific of situations to have a feature work is it really worth hyping?

The sound on this phone was amazing but for so many instances for me the camera has been such a huge let down, basically a step back from the G4 that if the cameras shows any slight Improvement I'm going to jump on the G6 to hope they finally perfected all this mess that they never seemingly finished
