I expect that this is good news for us, assuming that it means that they aren't just abandoning devices from earlier this year.

If anyone hasn't noticed sprint changed the android version back to 4.0 for the viper on the mobile website.

It's been like that on the mobile site. I made public posts about it being on the full site claiming false advertisement and they promptly corrected it, never changed the mobile though.

I dont want to be negative but, i feel like sprint would have announced publicly like they did w/ the last phones to get ICS...

No, they didn't announce the Epic4GTouch until the day of, but we been had gotten leaked builds of ICS, just as they said nothing about Jellybean for my phone, but we have a leaked build.
