Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
Ok, so I opened up Terminal Emulator and tried running ami304d, and this is the error it throws:
Cannot open KR3DH!!!
Cannot open KR3DM!!!
Not sure if that's of any help but I thought it might leaad in the direction of fixing up the sensors.
EDIT: Quick search in LG's VS660 kernel shows kr3dh.c and kr3dm.c in /drivers/input/sensor/
I guess that'd be the place to look for this
EDIT2: kr3dm.c is a 1:1 match between your kernel and the VS660 kernel, however the kr3dh.c has some changes.Last edited by MWisBest; 07-07-2012 at 01:08 PM.

Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
LOL Im just wondering why are we focusing on the roaming indicator when the mms, auto rotate, phone mic, and youtube video are entirely broken? I mean if we as a unit say it wont work, its one thing, or if we were asked for particular advice on how to help, i would. But something as small as the roaming indicator...

Okay that actually makes sense, thanks. Around my house, the junior high destroys all phone signal by some kind of material they built it with. Most people use wifi, and literally anywhere I go besides my home, if it's signal, its 3g. Of course we have 4g here too so I guess that probably changes something. - 07-08-2012, 12:43 PM #84

In a previous forum post, we indicated that we would look into this request and, unfortunately we are not able to support video codecs for ARMv6 OMX IL libs for Qualcomm's QDSP5 on MSM7x27. The architecture of MSM7x27 cannot support OpenMax video codecs for ARMv6 OMX IL on QDSP5 running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS).
We appreciate the feedback and will continually monitor this thread.

So then, no video support? - 07-09-2012, 09:16 AM #85
Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
Ha.. More like they don't want to support it. Just sad they don't want to support their product which is still in phones being sold today. Because it is 'old'.. Something will have to give. there are millions of devices needing this out there (literally). All we can do is sign, wait & cross our fingers.

Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
So, this is probably a stupid question but, what makes youtube like a slideshow on AOKP but not CM9. Would it be possible to just copy files from CM9 to solve that on AOKP or is that easier said than done.
EDIT3: Does not work. Sorry for confusion.Last edited by kappacat; 08-10-2012 at 12:58 PM.

Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
Thanks to @tdm for pointing me over here to the Vortex forum, so that I could thank @kappacat! Awesome work! I don't often watch videos on my phone, so it's not a major issue for me, but it appears to be so for many others. There's at least one inquiry per thread page stating that YouTube is broken, etc. So you've just made many people happy, and helped to clean up the threads all at the same time!

Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
sorry for confusion but well I'm confused. I moved over libm.so and any other one that said media and videos worked. UNTIL I flashed gapps. cause I was testing without that. Since I just restore my ext each time. then it didn't. So I don't know what is going on but it worked originally.

Just a side note here. AOKP 7/4 build. My processor has been entering sleep regularly from what I can see. Battery lasts over 24 hours easily with regular use. I do have data disabled most of the time though, I use wifi. At 53 percent now, after 26 hours.

Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
Just flashed AOKP 7/10 here!
Phone reboots when I try and open power menu by long pressing the key. Locking screen works like normal.
I can't get mobile data working correctly for some reason. Some apps worked while others had trouble. Some couldn't reach google servers specifically.
going back to CM9. AOKP is looking neat and I like the new boot screen. - 07-10-2012, 08:42 PM #93

Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
Going to test out the latest builds of CM9 and AOKP soon and report back with my findings.

EDIT: CM9 seems fine and stable, no issues as far as I can tell except for all the current known issues. :P
Flashing AOKP now...
EDIT2: AOKP is running good. The issue with the power menu popping up twice is half-fixed, it now closes the menu before opening another. Still tries to open 2 but it's much better than before.
EDIT3: Under AOKP I noticed that for the carrier label when you pull down the status bar says Extended Network. This is what it would say for me with the stock ROM. However, the "R" is still up by the bars indicating roaming. Also, the carrier label is cut off on the lock screen. I did see this mentioned in the Optimus V thread as well I think.Last edited by MWisBest; 07-11-2012 at 07:21 PM.

Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
Got the 7.12 nightly for AOKP, and my battery hates me again, similar to the CM9 battery issue. It went from 66% to 30% over the course of 45 minutes, and all I did was check my email and add a picture to a contact. The only difference in the way I'm using it is that I'm using the Nova Launcher (which I've fallen in love with.) I've also had some issues with the gallery not loading local or Google Photos. Still no luck with the YouTube slideshow issue. Still no sensors, low mic, etc.

Re: [ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS
Couple notes:
clodfelterac in the VM670 thread found some property tweaks that reduce reboots. I'm putting them into the next nightly build so test 7/13 vs. 7/14 to see if that improves things.
The ROM directories were getting cluttered. So I created a new nightly directory and the new nightly builds will be placed there, starting today. I'll update the webpage links soon.
Oh, and I haven't forgotten about the sensors issue. I'm busy with the new kernel right now. But I'll try to find some time to look at this soon. - 07-13-2012, 12:23 PM #99
