AW Update

I got a notification for an Android Wear update this morning. Haven't done it yet, I'm probably being way too paranoid, but I'm concerned that it may affect how the Urbane LTE performs.

Probably totally don't need to be worried, but has anybody updated yet and have you have had any issues? It's AW version 1.4.0.2462440.gsm.

Wonder if they added manual APN settings

Ah ok. My mistake. I saw the updated version number at the bottom and assumed they changed the wording to match the updated version.

Reading through the reviews in the Play store for the update and sounds like it is causing a lot of issues. I think I'll hold off on this 'update' for now.

The latest review I saw there are for even older versions. I won't trust those for the newer versions.

Yeah, it really frustrates me that Goggle doesn't log the update changes very well. It's always really vague or outdated. Annoying...

So has anybody given it a try yet?

It's a typically Google thing called staged roll out. We will eventually see it over time.

Oh so we're not talking about the app in the playstore, but the actual firmware of the watch, then.

Yes, we are talking about the app in play store. I can see the new version on my desktop PC but not from the phone. It is also possible that an AW OS update is included. But since OP is not willing to try it out, we don't know.

I installed the Play Store update the other day. It doesn't seem to offer anything new, and doesn't appear to have affected my U2LTE negatively, or positively.

I see no recent reviews, and as a matter of fact, when I sort by most recent, a review for October 8 is first, then October 24, a few for 2014 next. Says none for "Latest version only".

Also hasn't triggered a firmware update for the watch, and I've checked every day.

Noticed the Google Now card app got updated. Not sure if it is related to the AW update.

Yeah, went ahead and updated mine last night as well, didn't notice anything different. Even though I haven't tried my Moto on it yet...

Updates are probably nothing to worry about, but since the watch is technically no longer supported, you never know I suppose.

Noticed the Google Now card app got updated. Not sure if it is related to the AW update.

I'm really liking the Google Now stuff. It's really nice how you can go into the app and look at all the cards.
