How do I answer an incoming calls on my new LG 3.0?

when my phone rings to let me know someone is calling me the ANWSER icon in green pops up. I touch it, swipe it and nothing happens. it's just keeps ringing and finally goes directly to voice mail. What am I doing wrong?

Oh so the device is nonresponsive... OK this is a totally different issue then. Are there any other buttons that popup when you receive a call? A red button that says Decline or Ignore? Swiping the call button away may act as a decline or ignore if it is all by its self, or it could be the direction you are swiping it in. Up is the universal OK option, like a thumbs up, down I would imagine would be a decline, left or right not too sure...
