Is there an app that can turn my Android into an FM radio without using data?

In other words, somehow use the cell phone antennae to receive an FM radio signal and then play music from my local stations without having to go through the internet and use data? Just like an FM radio.

I could be very mistaken but I think that's not possible unless your phone has a built in FM antenna.

I just did some research, and yes, there are apps that can do it but the headphones have to act as the FM antenna and there has to be an FM tuner embedded in the bluetooth chip of your device, which apparently a lot of phones have. One app is called Spirit FM. Anyone know of any others that are good?

I have HTC Sensation XE. It have a built-in FM radio. And I was using that before rooting and installing a custom rom, but now, I can't use it. Is there any app/way to use that FM radio again? :)
