I searched the market and on this forum but I can't find any reference to a Droid app equivalent to iOS Line2. Line2 allows iPhones to make VOIP calls via the nearest WiFi hotspot, corporate WiFi or home WiFi network.
I am full of expectation, Line 2 is supposed to be releasing their android app to the market this week (week of 12/13/10). I have spoken with the sales team at Toktumi the company that is behind Line 2. Just for people who might not know Line 2 provides you with a VOIP number that you can make and receive calls on. It comes with a 30 day free trial, thereafter it is 9.99 per month. I currently use it on my iPad, it works wonderfully. Damn I sound like I work for Toktumi (I do not for the record)... I just find it to be a great app and it will be even greater once I can use it on my EVO to avoid using minutes on my cell plan. Actually I currently tether my iPad via my EVO to make and take calls on Line2 on the iPad
