Do purchased apps transfer phone to phone?

Hey guys,

I'm new to Android and just purchased an HTC Inspire. I'm thinking of switching it out for the Atrix in a few weeks when it comes out and am wondering if the apps I paid for will transfer over automatically. If not automatically is there a way to do it so I don't waste my money? Thanks in advance.

Yes they are saved to the Google account you used when you first set up the phone. If you want to save apps (and the data) try Titanium Backup Pro..if you're rooted or MyBackup Pro if you're not rooted.
