XBMC is just an app it runs. You have to goto setting then applications to find it

What i use to kind of cast is allcast. You can cast whatever allcast can to the fire tv. Also when using xbmc there is an adroid app to use as remote there and allcast can cast to xbmc app by dnla

I love xbmc I have it running on my note 3 and note 10 2014 edition. That's how I stream game of thrones and pay per view events.
