Can't use Google Play credit for the purchase of devices???

You can, however, go into an Apple Store and buy gift cards specifically for use in the stores. It can be used for anything in the store - computers, phones, cases, etc - but not for apps, music, movies, or anything else on iTunes.

Droid RAZR MAXX HD - Google Play

Eric: On the Play Music->Settings menu, there's a check-box for "Download via Wi-Fi Only". Check it to prevent music downloads over your data connection. There's also a separate "Stream via Wi-Fi only" option. Normally your music will only be downloaded to your phone if it has been flagged as...

Access Google Now through a Bluetooth headset?

Has anyone successfully used a Bluetooth headset to start up and complete a Google Now query? I've seen various articles about long-pressing the button on the headset to access Google Now, but that may be restricted to specific phones and/or headsets.

The Maxx HD has a barometer?

I think for most uses the accuracy of the actual reading isn't as critical as the ability to sense changes -- both up and down -- over time. While it may show 990 millibars when the atmospheric pressure is actually 1010 millibars, a change of 20 millibars up or down should register accurately.

    Keyboard for Nexus?

I got a Logitech Tablet Keyboard for Android 3.0+ for my Nexus 7 with a Father's Day Amazon Gift Card, and really like it. It's small, but not too small, with standard key spacing for easy typing. It comes with a cover that doubles as a stand for the tablet, which helps when you're banging out...

FWIW, the stock keyboard on the Nexus 7 works for me.

    NAS for the N7

The Seagate GoFlex Satellite is a 500gb wifi-enabled portable hard drive marketed mostly for iPad users, but the write-up on Amazon says it works well with Android too. As with the Kensington, I haven't used it yet myself, but I'm also looking for something like this. If you're stuck on a...

Tethering - What are the advantages of WiFi vs Bluetooth?

My O.G. Droid Incredible, like many non-rooted HTC Android phones, will not allow WiFi tethering, so I have to use Bluetooth. I just got back from a 6-day car trip, and the BT tethering worked fine with my Nexus 7 the whole way (except for out-of-the-way places with no cell coverage..) I can't...

    Ebook Reader for Nexus 7

I've been a big fan of the free ebook app FBreader on my phone for a while now, and it works even better on the bigger screen of the Nexus 7. I store my ePub book collection on DropBox, so I can access my books from my laptop, phone, and tablet with no hassles. FBreader does not sync your...

    NAS for the N7

The 64Gb version of the portable Kensington WiDrive is specifically advertised to work with Android for streaming, but I have not tried it personally. Sounds like it be great a long plane trip. Here's the Amazon link: Amazon.com: Kingston Wi-Drive 64 GB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive
