Generic - I completed the SBF using your Linux CD and got the Verizon Gingerbread update downloaded and installed. Only problem I seem to be having is that Android Market says I have no phones registered to install when I visit the market from my PC. If I visit from the phone it works fine...

I am already on 588. What would be gained by doing the SBF and then the Verizon update? Are there enhancements in the official version? I haven't seen any discussed, but don't mind performing the process if it will be helpful. That Linux CD is quite the deal. Thank you for the work.

Did you rename any of the bloatware files? They must be there with the same names. The update will try to overwrite them.

Hack - thanks for those instructions. Where can I download the Froyo SBF?

If I am already on 595, what would I gain by flashing back and getting the udpate? Everything seems to work well now.

Mine did that on Froyo, but works ok with Gingerbread 588 leak. If you are still running Froyo, hopefully you'll be ok when Verizon pushes out GB.

I am using Gingerbread with the Android mail client. My mail is accessed through IMAP. The shortest send/receive option is 15 minutes, which is too long for me. Is there another setting or application which will offer shorter times? If I change to POP3, is there an option to leave messages...
