This is illegal in some states... including the two I drive in all the time. I called Verizon technical support to find out if there was any way to be upgraded to 4.0.4 outside of the normal schedule but of course the answer is no. Was told would probably be rolled out within the next month. :'(

I am sympathetic... most of the people here are pretty advanced! You use a hotspot to create a wifi signal with your phone that you can pick up with other devices. I use it for work while traveling to get Internet on my laptop. I was lucky enough to get in on the old offer of $30/month unlimited...

Apparently the update will solve the problem lots of people are having with the Navigation App suddenly not announcing street names. This is pretty big for me, I use it a lot.

I also did this... should have read the entire thread before taking this bad advice! I disabled Google Search and can't download it because it's already downloaded... but it doesn't show up in my app drawer, app drawer in settings, or in my widgets. Do I have to do a factory reset to get it back?
