Quad Cities. Network and Coverage issues and 4G

Woody, do you have any documentation of the Sprint tech telling you that a) the network was way over capacity and b) the network upgrades would fix it in early August?

Any way to tell if you're on 850mhz or 1900mhz EV-DO?

Posted this over on HoFo too. Any help would be appreciated! I know there's an app called "Signal" that will supposedly give you the info you need to figure it out, but in order to get it on my iphone I'd have to Jailbreak it and I would prefer not to. So any ideas? Thanks in advance! --...

Info/Speculation on the 1st Verizon LTE World Phone?

The next iPhone is rumored to have a dual CDMA/GSM Qualcom chip, and if the Verizon version includes LTE (which is anyone's guess at this point in the game) it may be the first. We'll have to see.

    Release date rumors?

Boy, do I like getting several emails in a row due to being subscribed to this thread to find no new information on a release date. Fantastic.

Quad Cities. Network and Coverage issues and 4G

Clear has one tower here and, as far as I understand, Clear only has plans for that one tower currently.

    Netflix after Maintenance Release

So I had Netflix installed pre-Gingerbread and it still is. After the update released today, when I open the app it tells me that there is an update to download and install, and when I click 'OK' it says that no update was found. When I click 'OK' there, it takes me back to the screen that says...

HTC Kingdom for sprint at the FCC!!!

Looking through some of the FCC reports, it looks like this phone may also support CDMA on the SMR band? https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=519742&fcc_id=%27NM8PH44100 Look under "test report pce 1."

    Motorola Atrix 4g for sprint?

Has anyone heard any more on this? I picked an AT&T version today and love how thin and light it is compared to the EVO (especially considering the 1900+ mAh battery.) I think I want one.

Need Help with 4G on Stock EVO

I have never been in a 4G coverage area before, so the answer to that is no. Your sure my WiMax radio is broken?

Need Help with 4G on Stock EVO

I have an EVO running the latest stock everything from HTC and Sprint (December 15th update.) Clearwire just launched a tower in my area and I'm trying to try 4G for the first time. However, my phone will not connect. I'm literally sitting here with a friend who has 4G on and it is working on...

What do you think? EVO vs EVO shift

Ok, so I don't "need" a physical keyboard after having gotten used to the touch screen keyboard on my Evo, but the reality is (as a former Blackberry user) it's much easier to type longer emails on the go using a physical keyboard. That being said, I don't see how they couldn't have put a 4...

Next Gen. EVO to be called the "HTC EVO Shift 4G?"

So this could go a number of ways... One might argue that the term "EVO" would remain consistent with the build of a 4.3" screen and a similar form factor. The device just continues to "EVOlve" into a newer, better device. Another possibility is that the term "EVO" could be used like Motorola...
