Dude! Replace the whole screen assembly, it's not all that difficult. Watch a few how-to vids on the subject, and do it yourself. Replace the battery, too, while apart, with an aftermarket one. Unlock the bootloader with Sunshine, flash the TWRP recovery, load up the latest Resurrection Remix...

If that language is not an option during initial setup, you'll likely need to unlock the bootloader and root the phone and use a third-party ROM. All of which will void your warranty

If your bootloader is unlocked, then you can flash a recovery or alternate recovery onto the recovery partition. Otherwise, you couldn't use RSD Lite to install the factory firmware which will give you back Factory recovery as well as erasing the phone... Unless you remove the erase user data...
