Nope. I solved the issue by buying a different phone and throwing this one out.

Only thing I can come up with is there is something wrong with my battery. I've tried rolling back to 5.0 and 4.4.4 and within minutes of pulling it off the charger it just shuts off. One time it showed 95% battery left and after shutting off and rebooting into Android (while on the charger)...

Mines not restarting. It's shutting off entirely as if there is no battery left but when I plug it into the charger there's still plenty of charge left. One time there was still 80%+ left. And every time I plug it into the charger and turn it on it goes to the Optimizing apps screen.

Uninstalling and res-installing Skype fixed it.

Just tried testing the starred contacts only option and I'm having the same issue except with calls. When in priority mode with starred contacts only selected all calls are ringing through.

Ok after seeing you refer to starred contacts I think I see how to do this now. If i star a contact and turn priority interruptions on for messages, does that mean that I will only be alerted to SMS messages from that contact or does messages also apply to Whatsapp or any other app associated...

A few of the Android 5.0 reviews I've read, including the one here, mention Priority Notifications for specific contacts but I don't see how to set that up. I've only been able to setup app-based priority notifications. Is this a phone specific option? I'm using a Nexus 5. Thanks, ->g.

Been battling this issue on my phone (32GB Nexus 5) for the last couple/few weeks now. My dad's phone (16GB Nexus 5) has had the issue much longer, I guess since 4.4.4 as I don't remember either phone having this issue prior to 4.4.4. My dad's phone is basically stock - no extra camera apps...
