I think you are confusing 1 year contracts with annual upgrades. Annual upgrades and the NE2 credits were discontinued in January. 1 year contracts are still available (at least on all of their current devices). Hopefully I will be picking up a Thunderbolt next week on a 1 year contract! Bye...

Thanks, guys! I don't use my phone much for directions (only when I'm out of town or get occasionally lost). I use Poynt constantly and love that it knows where I am and gives search results close to my location!! I definitely didn't want to give that up!

Hello everyone! I am planning on ditching my BlackBerry as soon as the Thunderbolt drops. The past couple BBs I've had, have had an unlocked GPS. Will the Thunderbolt have an unlocked GPS so you can use Poynt/Maps and they'll be able to find your location? Thanks for the help!

Right on bro... This is exactly how I feel... My phone isn't even a "phone" anymore... I check email, surf the web, Facebook, Tweet and use a ton of information based apps. Excellent gaming is not high on my list of required features (however, Angry Birds is haha)!
