Took mine in to the Sprint store and the tech said my camera was loose. He replaced it under warranty and it works much better now. Worth a try.

Get the camera in the evo replaced. I had the same problem. It got to the point it would reboot the phone after just a few photos. After Sprint Tech replaced it, no problems. Sprint said the cameras unseat from the board or something along those lines. The good news it is a quick and easy fix...

I had a similar issue. In addition, the camera app started causing the phone to reboot. Sprint tech ended up replacing the camera in my evo. They said it had come loose. After replacement, zero problems.

Better, faster sd card seems to fix it.

I have stock with the update. It burned me on my last trip out of town.

I'm seeing this constantly on my Evo. I can go so far as to set them up, make a call or two, go back to the speed dial setting and several are missing. This is very annoying

I've had the exact same problem. Re-adding the account may work but only for so long. I'm trying touchdown and it has yet to fail. Personally I think it has to do with stock android eas protocol support that is lacking. Try touchdown and you'll sees what I mean.

You are not alone. I've seen this is well have no idea what the problem is or the solution. It is rather random and annoying when it happens.

You say it is 100% software related and then say a higher class card would help. Seems like contradictory statements. Either way, with 2.2, my Evo wouldn't record 720p without skips and jumps within the first 10 seconds. I did nothing other than get a new 8gig class 6 card and now I can record...

Sounds like you are having os issues. Back to the sprint store for a replacement. I wouldn't bother trying to get it right, you have something going wrong with the phone itself. I loaded angry birds and even hitting the google search button doesn't bring up the search.
