I think that the most exciting part of VR is experiencing things that you may never get to IRL in a more immersive way. Adding smartphones to the mix could be an interesting way of getting very immersive experiences on the go.

A coworker just got the phone and it seems quite nice. Really not a huge fan of how the company is running things though, even before this latest stunt.
