I'm also kind of annoyed by this. Looking through the gallery app is fine, but then I don't get all the auto enhancements from Google... It didn't happen on my G2, and I can see the same pictures in high Def on my tablet, so I think it's a bug.

Well you won't change anything without an app... I like using AcDisplay, kind of sucks of you use a pin on your phone though. Lollipop is right around the corner anyway.

If I were you I'd try to simply wipe the cache in recovery before you erase everything. Fixed a few issues I've had in the past. Google how to, it's easy.

Bluetooth is solid, but I recommend root+viper4android, it increases sound quality and seems to lower the compression applied by Bluetooth somehow.
