G3 doesn't do on wired charge, if "by design" wouldn't it also restart on wired charge? My Nexus 4 doesn't do. Would a 3 coil wireless charger help?

I like the wireless charging of N4 & apparently 1+1 doesn't have so that eliminates it for me. I'd wait a couple of months to see what product Goog intros.

Depends on what is draining battery. Clearing the cached data under storage & downloading/implementing Gservicefix app did the trick... at least for now.

Will enabling ART do as much? Tried ART a couple of months ago but some apps wern't upgraded to work with ART but seems it will be standard in future Android releases.

Re: Nexus 4- No SIMS Recognized I had cut a SIM incorrectly & it didn't work in my N4. All correctly cut SIMs work for me. Are you cutting them?

My one month trial with PIA went well so I opted for a year contract. Only downside is some sites don't recognize computer but a small inconvenience. Cool where they think you are in another state/country.

Yes,have same issue periodically. I use BatteryGuru which switches off wifi but never had any issue before 4.4 update.

Went with PIA for a month trial. PC download was a little clunky but N4 was easy. Seems OK so far. Will upgade to yearly if all continues to go well. wizzrah, thanks for your help.
